Texas A&M Scholarships
There are a variety of scholarships ranging from $500-$10,000 per year for dependents and spouses of veterans. Offers are based on self-reported military dependent/spouse status and the student must submit documentation to verify their military-affiliated status. Select scholarships have preferences based on military service, residency, major/college, site, enrollment status, etc.To apply, submit a scholarship application. Please note that scholarship awarding is subject to funding availability. Students must apply each academic year to be considered for these scholarships.

Awarded to children of U.S. military members who died on active duty on or after Sept. 11, 2001 or children of post-9/11 veterans that have a combined disability rating of 50% or greater by the Department of Veteran Affairs.Application website
AMVETS National Scholarship Program
Financially assist veterans and dependents who have exhausted government aid, or who might not otherwise have the financial means to continue their education. Huebner Scholarships Competitive Scholarship

Joanna Holbrook Patton Military Spouse Scholarship
Administered by the National Military Family Association (NMFA). Fisher House Foundation contributes $100,000 to the NMFA in order to expand the number of scholarship grants awarded each year.Application website

Awarded as a need based scholarship for dependent children of a Soldier who is on federal active duty, who is retired, or who is deceased and was retired or active.Application website
Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation
Awarded to children of Marines and Navy Corpsmen with particular attention given to children whose parent has been killed or wounded in action and those who have demonstrated financial need.Application website
National Association of Veteran Program Administrators (NAVPA) Scholarship
Qualifications:- Currently attend a NAVPA member institution. Please refer to the NAVPA website for a list of member institutions or ask your School Veterans Administrator.
- Be a U.S. Citizen, permanent resident or eligible non citizen.
- Be an Honorably Discharged U.S. Military Veteran, Active Duty, Reserve or Guard member, or a Dependent of Veteran or Service member.
- Be in good academic standing with a cumulative grade point average (GPA) of at least 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
- Complete prerequisite essay, not to exceed two pages. “How the NAVPA Scholarship will help me achieve my goals”.
- Be enrolled in and maintain attendance at full-time rate at a NAVPA member approved college or university during the Spring 2020 semester/quarter.
- Have earned a minimum of 12 college credit hours by the end of the Spring 2020 semester/quarter. For alternative certification/post-baccalaureate program applicants, credits may be from their bachelor’s degree program course of study.

Military Order of the Purple Heart Scholarship
Awarded to recipients of a Purple Heart who are also a member of the Military Order of the Purple Heart, or their spouse, child, step-child, adopted child, or grandchild. Spouses, widows and direct lineal descendants of Purple Heart recipients listed as killed-in-action or died of wounds may also be eligible.Application website
Navy League of the United States Scholarship
Endowed scholarship from the Navy League Foundation. Navy League Councils across the United States provide additional scholarships to students and Sea Cadets in their cities and regions.Application website
The Gilman-McCain Scholarship
Awarded to dependents of active duty military members in the Air Force, Army, Marine Corps, Navy, or Coast Guard. This scholarship includes activated (currently on active duty) Reserve Forces, Air National Guard, and Army National Guard.Application website

Mrs. Patty Shinseki Spouse Scholarship Program
Spouses pursuing an undergraduate degree or professional certification may receive assistance for up to four academic years of full-time study or eight academic years of part-time study. Spouses may apply year-round (no deadlines) and must re-apply every year. Award amounts vary each year depending on the number of applicants, total approved scholarship budget, the applicant’s Expected Family Contribution (per FAFSA), and the average cost of attendance to attend a college or university in the United States.Application website
Society of the Daughters of the United States Army (DUSA) Scholarship
The Society of the Daughters of the United States Army (DUSA) annual scholarship awards are the national project of the Society of Daughters of the United States Army. The Society makes one year, renewable awards, in the amount of $1,500.
